STONE OWL by foutoux
just standing
impossibly still
poised ready for flight
i saw today
in timeless sun the owl
wings outspread
almost flying
forever
never sees the stars nor moon
nor wakes a sleeping
child
nor hoots nor sings
but stands forever still.
